    They sit on the top of the fence looking in at the chickens and it looks like they are wondering why they are in Jail.

    something u mite try is nest eggs to inspire hens to lay inside
    if hen sees egg in nest they will lay there
    that helps keep them from laying outside henhouse
    i use golf balls for nest eggs
    the strange thing is my hens prefer yellow golf balls
    they will lay in what ever nest has the yellow 1
    only lay eggs in nest with white 1’s if yellow nest is occupied

    any egg shaped thing will work
    grandparents used to use oldfashioned poreline[sp] doorknobs.
    uncle used to use lightbulbs
    or u can buy plastic from hatchery catalogs
