Boy does that bring back memories. I remember hauling hay (pete, clover, straw you name it) in summer for the extra buck. The downsides of my arms would be pocked from marks pushing those bailes up high on the truck where they were stacked. I loved stacked vice the hard manual labor of getting them up and on the truck. Then of course, those same bailes had to be put into the barn loft. Those were the days!
We are on an adventure learning the ropes of starting a small farm, being self-sufficient and living in a 100 percent off-the-grid solar powered home. We'll share the ups and downs of raising chickens, pigs, growing a garden, and life in general, all with a twist of humor thrown in for good measure.
